About Us

We’re JB & Caitlin- Nashville based dancers, teachers, and two-steppin’ fans helping people feel at home on the dance floor.

Our Story

Jeremy "JB" Duckett came to Nashville by way of Chicago, where he founded Chicago Honky Tonk to get roots-country bands and social dancing back in the same room. These days he works at Robert's Western World on Lower Broad, and he collects 45s from the '40s through the '90s — the kind with dust in the grooves and a story behind them.

Caitlin has been dancing her whole life. She earned her B.A. in Dance from Columbia College Chicago, with a concentration in teaching, and has trained across a wide range of styles including Irish dance, modern, ballet, jazz, hip hop, African dance, and competitive dance. That broad background gives her a strong foundation in technique, movement, and instruction — and helps her make learning feel clear, approachable, and fun for dancers of all experience levels.

Hello Honky Tonk, led by the award-winning married duo Caitlin and JB Duckett, offers premier Texas Two-Step instruction across Nashville. Named the city's Best Two-Step Dance Instructors by the Nashville Scene, they blend formal dance expertise with traditional country music curation, often spinning all-vinyl sets at local venues like Skinny Dennis. They accommodate dancers of all ages and skill levels, offering tailored packages for wedding parties, bachelorette groups, corporate functions, and private solo lessons.
